Shaun McCambridge from Stellar Recruitment has a chat with Australian Tour Pro Brad Kennedy about the mental side of tournament golf and the processes he has incorporated into his training. At 45, Brad admits that the last 8 years of his 25 year career are his most successful due to the performance based approach to practice and tournament preparation guided by Dave Alred, who works with a range of world class athletes across many sports.

Project One Putt creator and Tour Pro Australian Brad Kennedy has claimed his 8th Tour victory by winning the 2020 New Zealand, held in Queenstown.
This is Brad's 2nd New Zealand Open title after winning the title in 2011 at Clearwater where he beat Craig Parry in a play-off. Brad clearly enjoys playing in New Zealand as he also won the 2016 New Zealand PGA Championship.
“I think I was chasing today which put me in a really good mindset to continue to attack and I felt like a couple of times in the last few weeks I’d started to play out of what I can do and what I trust where today I really just focussed on doing what I needed to do.”
“The course played unbelievable over the weekend, and not much breeze, I thought someone could easily shoot a really low one,” he said.
“Under pressure that’s hard, to get out there in the second last group and shoot that score under those conditions. I wasn’t aware of the scoring, because in the past that’s been a negative for me, just to look up and have those emotions affect you, whether you are in front or behind. “I really made a conscious effort today of head down, wait until it’s finished and then react.”

I'm so thrilled to have successfully launched the Project One Putt system. It's being added to the practice routines of golfers at all levels - juniors, club golfers, coaches and Tour Pros worldwide. Why use Project One Putt?
Putting is often neglected because putting practice doesn’t get the adrenaline going like smashing driver after driver on the range. If you want to drop shots off your score and lower your handicap, then get yourself onto the putting green regularly.
A word of warning – not all putting drills are created equal. Practice for practice sake is not enough.
Project One Putt consists of 5 hole inserts and drills that provide structured practice with purpose. It's completing these drills that will challenge your performance.
So if you're ready to accept the challenge, commit to working on your putting with Project One Putt and say goodbye to those ugly 3 putts. Let's go!
